O’s spend their money on starting pitching adding  Vargas, Cashner and Tillman.

Why Mullins?   Because with the payroll at 160m with incentives the O’s will not want to spend on a veteran outfielder.   Mullins will be  the best 4th outfielder in camp defensively and he can hit right-handed pitching.

Stating lineup only has one lefty but the team hits right-handed pitching well.  Plus Sisco and Flaherty hit left-handed and Mullins and Santander are switch hitters.
