Let the Starting Pitcher

fill out the lineup for the day he pitches

No way any pitcher would elect to play Mark Trumbo in RF

Lost last nights game when he didn't even come close to catching an average fly ball that 99/100 OF'ers catch. Two runs score, one run loss

Defense (lack of) is the #1 problem with this team.

And it will be until 2020 at earliest. Trumbo, Mancini, & Davis. Three men for two spots--DH, 1B. Until Trumbo and Davis are gone we will have issues.

What does it matter at this point?

Though I do think the idea to let the pitcher's fill out the lineup card is pretty hilarious.  It has gotta be tough to pitch on this team, you're right.

My college team did this for intrasquad games and the order of players picked    Was always best defensive infielder, best catcher, next best defensive infielder and best defensive outfielder in some order

Would pitchers want players that could hit and score runs ???

o

Starting pitchers would want players that were good at defense, an offense that could score runs consistently, and an above-average bullpen for the latter innings.

Staring pitchers would not want the 2018 Orioles playing behind them.
