What is the Orioles projected payroll next year?

Since the Orioles will have a younger team next year, what is the projected payroll? I am assuming it will be the cheapest team the Orioles have had for several years.

Quick look. With Jones and Britton coming off the books that's roughly 29 mil off there. Brach takes off another 5 mil. Tillman is another 3 mil. Rasmus is 3 Mil but he isn't getting paid anymore anyway. That's around 40 mil right there. Figure out a taker for Trumbo (13.5) and that would be around 53 mil off the payroll. Would put us around 83 mill for next year before arbitration, etc.

Trade Schoop and Gausman and that's another 14 mil.

Would give us enough to sign a certain FA SS.

Pedro Alvarez and Gentry subtract 1.9 mil also.

If they do what I would do we'd be around 67 mil before arbitration, etc.

I wonder if the Orioles will use the payroll savings to hire more scouts, boost their analytic department and improve their international operations.

Keep Schoop and sign Manny we would be around 110 mil, roughly. These are back of the napkin figures.

They better. Only way this Franchise gets back to the Playoffs.

Another point. The FA market for infielders doesn't look good for the next 2 years.

Close to zero chance Manny signs here.  Why would he want to be part of a team that will probably loss 90-100+ games next year.
