How do you compare him and Cole Wilcox? Wilcox is actually a freshman(going to be a draft-eligible sophmore) , and Emerson had similar struggles as a freshman, I wonder if age would be a factor. 

Also does Torkelson look like he's first base only? Or is there a chance at the outfield?

Obviously HSers we won't know too much about until next year, was just curious.

Emerson has less relief risk than Wilcox IMO, I like the command and arm action better. I'm not sure about Torkelson in the OF, haven't really watched him play defense much.

Doubt that a high school first baseman would be in play for us at our most likely #1 pick, but hopefully it pushes more talent down for us. Pretty sure we get a competitive balance pick A next year too.

His power is real, he takes a pro batting practice with wood bats.  He's a first baseman, probably not a good one, probably a 40 runner, maxed body. I don't think he'll be in serious contention for 1-1.

It is crazy how bad the bottom of baseball is this year. A .300 team might end up picking second.
