This weekend was a perfect example of why the O's are strong favorites to be the #1 overall pick again next year. Even if we play well and promote some better players, we still have a crazy hard AL East schedule. Our best can be beaten down by 3 of the 4 other teams. They've got Minnesota, who looks legit, and Cleveland who's been hovering just above .500 most of the year.

This. The Yankees sent down a guy that would probably be our best player.

Orioles lose and Royals win, so we now have a three game lead on KC.

Even though the O's had the worst record in the game last year I never had the feeling that we were really the worst team, just that day in day out we had the stiffest competition (due to the MLB unbalanced schedule). This year I think it's pretty clear that we are absolutely the worst team in baseball.

Detroit is almost as bad as us. I think we're lucky we have a 6.5 game "lead" on them for the first pick. They're terrible.

Orioles and Royals won last night, Tigers lost. So I think they are 3 and 4 games behind, respectively.
