Seriously though, I wonder how long it will take for a high school player like Gunnar to adjust from aluminum to wood bats. 

He hit well in showcase play last summer with wood. It's more of getting back in the groove of facing live pitching and then consistently better stuff/command than he's used to facing.

Cool. I figured a prospect at his level had experience with wood bats, but keeping up with baseball prospects isn't exactly a hobby of mine.

Just a guess but now I wonder if his first game in Aberdeen will be July 23. Let’s him play a game or 2 in Sarasota before heading up.
