A Yankee overpaid? Stop the presses. They have been overpaid and over rated for years.

It's the nature of the beast with the NYY.  They have to overpay in $ and years to land some of these guys and the end of contract part of it is usually a poor value.  I think this current team has a three year window to compete.  

The Os and NYY could be ships passing in the night in 2024 though the Rays and Jays should be tough and the BoSox should may have re-grouped by then.
