#50THANNIVERSARY

On this day in 1970, the Orioles lost a second consecutive game to the Yankees in New York by a score of 3-2.

The Orioles scored two runs in the 4th inning via RBI singles from Davey Johnson and Elrod Hendricks.  That score held up until the 7th inning when starter Dave McNally allowed 3 Yankees runs.  He was removed after 6.2 innings and finished with a line of 7 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk and 3 strikeouts.

Merv Rettenmund went 3 for 5 with a double and a stolen base.  Davey Johnson finished 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.
