#50THANNIVERSARY

On this day in 1970 the Orioles traveled down to D.C. and defeated the Washington Senators 6-2.

Dave McNally allowed 2 runs on 5 hits while walking 3 and striking out 5 in a complete game effort to win his 23rd game of the season.

Boog Powell blasted his 34th homerun of the season while going 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.

Brooks Robinson went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and Merv Rettenmund went 2 for 3.
