Yep.

I mean, if Mayo pans out the strategy of going under slot to get someone like him in the later rounds would have appeared to be a solid one.

Really though, just giving up on Kjerstad and Baumler.  Westburg, not so much.

I was talking to a friend who went to an Ironbirds game last week and was sitting with a couple of family members of players on the team.  They all agreed that Westburg (who by then had been promoted) had been head and shoulders the best player on the team.   He’s definitely one to watch.   

I’m giving up on nobody from that draft.  Delayed but not denied.

I'm half kidding when I say that about Kjerstad and Baumler.  

Here's hoping the 2020 draft is one that can help springboard this team to respectability.

To say the least, Mayo is looking like an astute pick in the underslot/overslot draft.  Kind of performing and looking like you would want the #2 overall to look like. LOL

Can the case be made that he currently has the highest offensive ceiling in the system? I think he’ll be on at least one top 100 list next spring.

I don’t think he makes the top 100 lists yet.  I think his first chance to debut on one would be midseason next year.
