I attended tonight’s game and met up with Moose Milligan in the middle innings and we watched the O’s storm back to win and end the losing streak.   It was a good crowd that was really into the game, and a lot of fun.  When the O’s got the W, most of the fans in the lower bowl stayed at their seats and gave them a loud ovation as they went through the handshake line and into the dugout.   Nice to see that kind of support from loyal fans after what they’ve been through.

Hey, does moose look as much like Ken Griffey Junior in person as his avatar?

He looked good.  Stuff looks really good.  I have a hard time imagining them making him a starter next year at this point.

It will be interesting to watch.   Remember Papelbon was supposed to be a starter too in the beginning, but just was too good at the relief thing to move.   I see T. Wells dominating and don't know if I see enough command, other pitches to extend.

I imagine Hunter Harvey would like to throw his hat in the ring for first Save of 2022 if he can keep it together six weeks.

I wouldn't bet on him being tried as a starter but I'd like to see it.   There is certainly more need for a starter than a closer next year.   I'd rather throw guys like Harvey (no jokes!), Felix Bautista, and Ofelky Peralta against the wall to see what sticks in the bullpen.    Plus, Bradish and Baumann could both wind up there.   Wells is a guy with stuff AND throws strikes.   And he's started all through the minors.

I would like to see them try him as a starter too.  I’m not sure why they haven’t.  In fact, as I have said, they have gone the opposite way.  They have shortened his outings and lessened the work load.

Certainly could still try him as a starter but I would think they would be stretching him out more now.
