Thanks for the correction.  I went with Jonathan Schoop Stats | Baseball-Reference.com - they show him as a free agent after this season, but Spotrac shows you are correct.

Based on Mondesi's poor health history and unimpressive stats when healthy, I would rather give the O's prospects (suspects) in the majors a chance and also see if anyone in the minor develops and can play major league SS w/ at least an average bat.  It looks promising that the O's will have home grown talent everywhere but SS, so I would think the O;s could afford to splurge on a good SS free agent also.

Correa isn’t exactly a model of health either.
