World Series Over; Offseason Begins

With the World Series over, the offseason is officially on. With the way our team is going, how excited are you for the offseason?

Not very excited until the CBA trash is over.  Got to get that issue out of the way before anything related to the offseason can begin.  I know there's a thread for it, so this one doesn't have to turn into another one, but it is a point that has to be considered.

Exactly.   It casts a shadow over everything.   There may not be winter meetings or a rule 5 draft.   Between now and the potential lockout date (Dec 2) things proceed as "normal" but the unknowns may mean much less activity than normal on the free agent and trade market.   And there could be none after Dec 2.   Can't even try to plain a spring training trip.

I vacillate between feeling this could be a bad work stoppage because they are on such different sides, and feeling that they have to work something out because they are hemhorraging fans for Covid and a number of other reasons and if they screw up the 2022 season they could do irreparable damage.

I have no faith in Tony Clark to accomplish anything except frustration.

If they have a stoppage during the pandemic, they should just bulldoze the stadiums and use the land for a parking lot.
