Adley Rutschman 2022

I am looking forward to the MASN Orioles video with Paul Mancano, Adley Rutschman and a thesaurus where they search for adjectives to describe the parts of the soreness in his arm aside from the "mostly" parts that are "general".

The rest of it...is it diffuse?   Acute?   Burning?   Tingling?

Fangraphs today is forecasting Rutschman for 60% of the team PA, 2.7 WAR and the team with minimal contributions from others to land about 11th MLB-wide.

I remember last year when they did these positional rankings, the O’s were near the bottom at pretty much every position.   This year with Mullins and Rutschman we’re looking a lot more respectable.

It would not surprise me if the over abundance of caution with Rutschman ends when they gain the extra year of control. If he can start the year in AAA playing in real games, then you have to wonder why he can't play in Baltimore on opening day.

The only logical answer is they are doing service time manipulation and using the "injury" as the deniability.

Yea, it seems really convenient for him to have triceps soreness that is bothering him to this extent.

I think the idea would be that as of April 5 he will have seen little or no game action, so going to AAA is the functional equivalent of a rehab assignment.   We’ll see how this gets played.

You say that as if there might be something wrong with it.

Just came here to say how much it sucks that we didn’t get to see him this Spring and now won’t see him in Baltimore until June at the Earliest I think. Would it shock anyone if we ended up not seeing him til after the AS break? I could see this injury lingering.

Where are you getting June at the earliest?
