Anything blocking that monstrosity of a hotel from the skyline is a good thing.

And freeing things up for a far better view of the train station. And actually, much more of the warehouse would be seen as well.

You all know me.  I've beaten that "My Seething Hatred of the Hilton" horse down into molecular dust in every O's fan space on the internet, pretty much since that hideous thing first went up.

So the day it gets countered by something like this scoreboard move is a day I will celebrate for the rest of my life.  I will throw a party and you all shall be invited to celebrate with me 😂

I would love the scoreboard moved towards LF behind the statue court (obscuring the Hilton!), so at least most of the park could see most of historic Camden Station, which it has always partially blocked. After the Hilton blocking the Bromo Tower (except for a few seats high up in first base side upper deck), this would be a nice move.

I did a Photoshopped imagining of this several years ago. I added more rooftop seats where the scoreboard is now, as well as an auxiliary scoreboard in right for those in LF who won't have to crane their necks to see a scoreboard.

Can we move the Bromo tower behind CF, too?

If the post in the lease thread is believed to be true then I can see this being part of the major overhaul. Less seating but at the same time adding new technology to the park.

If they're going to do a more radical renovation, can we extend the new LF wall across to the turf area, move the bullpens somewhere else, and make the turf area and hitter's background in play?

Heck, for a $600 million upgrade budget, maybe they can do Nash Lumber's idea AND re-locate the Bromo Seltzer tower to center field.

Ha!  I didn't see this before posting the same exact thing.

So is Camden Yards going to be changed into an entertainment complex with music, rides, VR experiences, shows, and gambling?  You can watch a baseball game too if you like.  Think of it as mini Vegas.

Horseshoe Casino might fight that given they are right down the street and would lose business. It’s not a bad idea though assuming the hotel can’t be demolished.
