Next 9 Games…

6 of the games are on the road and we are 21-29 on the road this year.  Cincinnati is also playing pretty well.   They are 12-6 since July 7 and that includes series vs Tampa, the Yankees, and St Louis.   If we go 3-3 in the road games I think we have to be happy.   Then either 2-1 or 3-0 vs the Pirates at home.

Hoping for 6-3.    If we do better than that, that would be a nice statement to make.

Anything less than 7-2 would be extremely disappointing. Need to be w/in 1 or tied for a WC spot by the end of this 9 game stretch.

From 2018-2021 the Orioles had just two streaks (and they were overlapping) of 7-2 or better in nine games.  And now if they don't go 7-2 in their next nine, including six on the road, it's extremely disappointing?  I'd be pretty okay with five or six.

If you use the log5 method and assume the Orioles are a .505 team, the others combine to be a .425 team then the most likely outcome is they go 5-4.

Just saying they need to take advantage of the soft spot in the schedule to make a move because still being 3+ games out w/ the Blow Jays, Tampa, and Boston after that would make it extremely difficult to make up the ground.

The next nine games are very winnable.

3 @ CIN

3 @ TEX

3 vs PIT

Then we get a lot of TOR (15) and BOS (11) over these final 63 games.

Need at least 5-4 though that might be a tad disappointing.  I'd be happy with 6-3 or better

I’d be very happy with 6-3. Puts us in good position to make a run at a wildcard.

I still don't believe we have a legitimate shot at the wildcard, particularly now that Wells is on the IL. This is a good stretch, but I could easily see the team go 4-5 or 7-2. In the end, I still think we are a year early right now. It'll be interesting to see what happens at the deadline as that will also impact the back end of this stretch.
