A win today wouid be huge

A win today would be huge.  Why?  Because it would guarantee a winning record against Tampa this year, which is the tiebreaker if we end up tied with Tampa at the end of the season.   It also would guarantee that we finish this series ahead of them in the standings and put them on their heels for the series finale.  And finally, winning a game where Hall faces McClanahan would make a loud statement.   So, mostly the first reason, but there’s a lot of reasons a win today would be huge.

Probably the most excited I’ve been for a game since last night. Gotta love winning. I expect Hall to give us even more of an edge.

Honestly, I was never this excited about the 2017 team even though they were sort of in the race at the end of August.  So, I’d say six years.

Even 2016 seemed ho hum. I’d go back to 2014, or really 2012 if trying to match the excitement level.

We have so much momentum. A half game lead in the Wild Card feels like 4 games to me.

I'm excited for Hall's debut. I'm optimistic he will do well. I'm also aware that not all debut's go well. 

I'm guessing he goes 4 IP, with 3H 3R 8K 3BB

Yea, I think some combo of him showing how good he can be while also reminding us he has a ways to go is the type of start I’m expecting.

The last time I was this excited about one of our top pitching prospects making his debut was Arthur Rhodes in 1990. Who remembers how that went?

I never considered 2016 ho hum.   That was a very fun season and the team exceeded my preseason expectations coming off their 81-81 2015.   The playoff race went down to the final day, and that was extremely exciting.  I was on the edge of my seat every game in September.  

However, that team was mildly surprising.  This team is absolutely shocking.  Time will tell where it finishes in the pantheon of surprising Oriole teams compared to 1989 and 2012.   But it has a chance to be the most surprising of them all.
