Its not going to happen.  Elias never thought we would win this year and he had almost no interest in doing anything to help the major league team out.  If we luck into it then all good.  But we are not going to make a single move to make this team better.

And that's the part I disagree with. I'm fine with punting on this year if you have to do that in order to infuse youth or talent into the organization. But throwing the towel in just to extend team control is just an admission that you won't be able to work it out financially. And I think that has ramifications with fans and players in terms of how they view the organization.

LOL between him talking non-stop about attending a wedding in NYC as a player and Melanie Newman rolling "R's" when she says Urias or Jorge- it's been a tough watch.

I'm not really seeing it. Gunnar, Stowers, and Westburg clearly have things to work on re: their K rate. 

I think it's more about how young hitters are always going to have an adaption period to the MLB (see: Adley, Witt) no matter how bad they are tearing up minor league pitching, and it's unlikely these guys are going to improve us in the short term. 

I would personally go more for a DJ Stewart, someone raking at AAA who has MLB experience.

After today, out of the 44 remaining games: 7 vs. TOR, 7 vs. HOU & 3 vs. NYY, it seems kinda wishful to expect a handful of untested rookies to do what the guys who got you to this point are not capable of doing. Elias knows that if this team could turn in a non-losing season, finish north of the cellar and successfully launch the career of their 1-1, it was unqualified success.

Hays has seen a ton of pitches the past few days.   That 11 pitch AB the other day, and several 7+ pitch ABs that I remember.
