I think there is a decent chance that the analytics team sends down the lineup card to Hyde before every game.

I’m in Boston for this damn game and both Adley and Gunnar are on the bench?  WTAF man. Why would we ever play Nevin?  
 

Not typically a lineup critic but this is straight up BS.

Come on, you're a lawyer.   It's procedural.   It's like a double switch.   They can use the Urias IL move to justify bringing up Akin before the required number of days.   They still meet the 14 position player limit after all 3 moves.   All within the letter of the law.

There’s a week to go in the season. Why does a 21 year old kid need a day off at this point?

Mullins has been bad vs lefties all season.  It's actually the biggest difference between 2021 Mullins and 2022 Mullins.   And, this season, McKenna has been a beast vs lefties.

Gunnar... small sample size but .910 OPS vs RH and .488 vs LH;  recent performance  he's in a 1 for 20 slump (loved the 1 though!).

Mullins has a .578 OPS vs. LHP this year.  Gunnar’s a bigger question.

Honestly, this is why we cannot hit against the likes of Wentz and Alexander in Detroit. I would really like to stop seeing the JV lineup against southpaw starters. I get Adley hasn't hit well against lefties and am okay with him having a day off and, honestly, am okay with Mullins off, too, but Stowers hit lefties well in AAA and Henderson should be in there everyday. McKenna and Chirinos starting is understandable, but I don't want to see any more of Nevin and Aguilar.

Hill isn't even a lefty flame thrower.  He's a soft tossing lefty.  I'd play my best lineup period at this point in the year.  You know how many games in the last week we have lost and Seattle lost as well?
