Honestly I haven’t noticed his defense being off. Rdrs has him +2 at 2B, -2 at 3B so far.  UZR has him +0.9 at both.  He’s looked pretty good at both to me.

In any event, 0.6 rWAR, 0.5 fWAR is very healthy for the 28-game mark.

I agree, I haven't really noticed it. Maybe one or two plays at 3B I thought he should have had, but I still definitely trust him over there.

He's a popular guy to wonder about trading, but I have to say... I don't mind having Urias up in a big spot in the playoffs.

I agree. Steady and solid overall, plus he does seem to have a knack for those big oppo-field doubles with runners on.

He had a huge one yesterday, and an even bigger 2-run single earlier as a pinch hitter to put the O’s back in front.  4 RBI in 2 AB, at a crucial point in the game.

I just love the guy.  He does whatever he’s asked.  He takes really good at bats in important situations.

I'm not sure if it says more about Urias, or about Gunnar, but all I know is when I see a ground ball hit to third, and I realize during the play that its Ramon over there, I instantly feel relaxed about the play.  He's a good player who likely will never get his full due.  A solid contributor who's probably the most likely to eventually get pushed out by a prospect - especially the way Mateo is playing.  He's certainly making it hard on them to do that though!

Urias is money.  Great Elias pickup.

Yep. He’s not a one year wonder like so many of them can, will and tend to be.

He has been fantastic and is very underrated.  We just don’t have the long term use for him most teams would although I do wonder if they have thought about putting him in the OF and using him as like a super utility guy.

I wouldn't be opposed.  But he deserves to be starting somewhere.

He does. Which is why he should be traded because he won’t start here long term but he does deserve to start in the majors. I’m guessing his value will end up being higher in trade Vs what he will give us in the field because of lack of playing time.

He could be a sneaky short term choice to play some 1B. If it turned out there was more of a market for Mountcastle I could see Urias doing a great job there. Would be trading power for OBP but we'd get a similar level of production along with more versatility to play elsewhere when needed, say 3B when facing LHP. Both Urias and Mountcastle are 2027 FA's. If offered the same package, which guy would you keep?

He is a little short for first base.

I'm not sure but maybe the super utility thing is his best fit. Last year he seemed to wear down and his offense suffered. The 403 ABs were the most he has ever had. I am a fan of Urias though so a part of me wants him to get a chance to start but it won't be here.

It's interesting, he's quickly closing in on his much more heralded brother's career WAR (Luis is at 7.1 rWAR as of today, while  Ramon is at 6.3 rWAR). That's despite Ramon only having 59% of the plate appearances.

Why was (and in many ways still is) his brother so much more highly regarded as a prospect / player?
