Dang it, I'm going to keep beating the drum for this guy

Very early in the season of course but Haskin is off to a great start.  Slashing .320/.469/.560 through the first week.

Tony, I know you question his bat - can he play a good COF in OPACY?

I think he got off to a hot start last year too. Definitely worth keeping an eye on. I noted on another thread, mlb.com has him as 60 run/60 defense. Only knock is defensively is 45 arm. Could be a threat to McKenna at a minimum.

Haskins is an solid defensive left fielder, but has arm limitations that really limits his overall effectiveness to that position. He doesn't really have the footspeed for center.

Haskins keeps hitting.  2/3 tonight with a 2b & BB.

on season 6bb & 16k 4.26 P/PA

~1/3 of hits are XBH 

Solid Trends.

6 BB and 16 K.    Strikeouts are high but he’s doing well.   Unfortunately, I saw him misjudge a liner over his head in CF and his swing still looks funky.   Results matter though.

Thanks.  Fixed  He has a really weird swing.  Kinda like a Tasmanian devil spinning himself into the ground.  Looks like the world's biggest roll over but somehow keeps bat going through the zone.

Another great night for Haskin.  3-5 with a HR and 2 doubles.  Be interesting to see how long he can sustain this heater.

Yeah no one loves him, no on clamors for him, no one dreams on him.  It will be interesting to see if he can just force people to take notice of him somehow.

I work with his cousin. He was a diehard Yankee fan growing up apparently but otherwise has a good head on his shoulders according to her. 
 

Definitely wish he could have the arm/foot speed to take McKenna’s spot.

Haskin is now on the 7 day IL.

I think he will battle Mckenna CF job next ST.  He may be more valuable in a trade rather than a 5th OF.

Haskin is rehabbing in Aberdeen, and playing tonight. 0-1 so far.
