Wells doesn't have anywhere near the stuff of Braddish or Grayson. But he shows that command is still the essential ingredient to a pitcher's success.

Production from the #3 & 4 hitters this year has been really poor minus Mountcastle's 9 rbi game. And he's been stuck on 20 since if I'm not mistaken. Santander and Mountcastle need to get it going.

Don't know if you're being serious, probably not, but...

He needs to swing at better pitches. Maybe he just likes crap low and inside, off the plate pitches.

Not being 100% serious.  But we're into year 2 now of Mountcastle getting unlucky.

Totally agree with you though, he is his own worst enemy from a certain perspective.
