Westburg leads off the game with a homer but if you listen to the beginning, it mentions that Ortiz is available today and should be in the lineup tomorrow.

It takes injury off the table.   Considering that the game announcer said yesterday that Ortiz was available to play last night and there was a good chance he’d be in the lineup today, I think we can rule our anything too serious.  I don’t need further details than that.

I don't want to speculate, but that is pretty much what this board is for...

Joey's last game with the O's I thought I remembered seeing a ball or contact at 2nd by other team to his head.  He may be in a protocol without saying he is in protocol.

While I wasn't pleased with how vague the comment was it could be something as simple as Covid or Mono.  I'd be more concerned if the team made a habit of being forthcoming.

Probably Covid.  I have known a couple of people that avoided it the entire time up until a bout a week ago.  It beat them up pretty good.

That was my thought too, my next door neighbor never had it and two weeks ago got a really bad case of it seemingly out of the blue. Given the travel Ortiz has been doing, it wouldn't surprise me.
