How do GM's tell other GM's who they want to trade at deadline times?  Do they send a mass communication to all teams?  Or do they only approach teams that we might have identified as having a player we want?

It seems to me that the number of completely non competitive pitches being thrown across MLB has increased this year. Am I just nutty?—or are pitchers getting a less consistent grip on things—maybe in pursuit of a few more nasty pitches per at bat?

Yeah he was getting into territory where sometimes managers pull you just because you have thrown too much in one inning.   I heard they dont like to let guys get 40 pitches in one inning and I think Gibson got 36 in the first alone.

No idea but if they are the pitch clock might be part of the issue.
