Monday July 17: Dodgers in town for 3

I think this series and the one against Atlanta are the two most telling of the season so far. And the one against Houston coming up in early August will give us a good idea too. We would probably need to get past two out of those three.

Those 3 teams might prove to be the top 3 in baseball.   And, sadly, we might only be the 5th or 6th best team in baseball.

Honestly, he might be a keeper.   He might be a guy we can't afford to go 10 days or whatever the number is, without having on the staff.

I would say that those three plus Tampa are clearly the four best teams and then there's a cavernous gap to the next group that we're in. Not just because of how talented and well-rounded the rosters are, but because of the cache those orgs have (Tampa to a lesser extent). Hopefully we'll get there within the next couple of years, but we're not now, and that's okay.
