Is there some risk that he blows up and gives up 3 runs before you can get him out of there?   Sure.   But that is a risk with ANY pitcher.   It's maybe a little higher with Jorge (you might be talking about 5% with him instead of half a percent with Felix Bautista).   But you can't manage scared of your own shadow fearing the worst case lurking around every corner.

He's done that 2 times in his last 4 appearances.

And if  you think that is going to continue, that would be an argument against putting him on the roster... an Elias decision.

But if he IS to be in the bullpen, I think the correct managerial move is to use him in a situation just like that.
