I do believe that Hays is viewed as a clubhouse leader amongst his teammates. Just from following him on Instagram it seems him and his family are a big part of the closeness on the team. Although chemistry only means so much if he regresses more and someone is playing better. -

Would parking in MARTA have been any better? It could have been worse, the lot could have been locked when you left the game. Locking a lot 30 minutes after the game is insane. I assume they get $200 plus for storing your car at a lot somewhere overnight if you're locked in. -

The idea of one guy being closer is silly. It’s ridiculous to throw up the hands in despair because one guy is doing lousy. That’s why we have more than one guy. Don’t have a closer have six closers. Everyone will know before the game who is most likely to play so everybody can get prepared. It’s not going to be a surprise unless we’re down or up 12 to nothing after three. The problem, as many people have pointed out, is that we don’t have guys with options, and Mike is reluctant to dump anybody, regardless of how awful they are, so Baumann is still making his salary, and good for him. -

The easiest way to keep a closer from getting overworked is to not use him every time there’s a three run save situation. But I think the CBA must require it now.
