Honeycutt finally did something. 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs and scored a run. I think it was just 2 singles, but at this point, I'm just happy with any hits.
I was starting to think late career Chris Davis was his hero. Hopefully that gets him out of whatever funk he was in or gives him some confidence.
How should the O's fix the hitting? Sign some better hitters as free agents? Revamp the development process so hitters are making more process and drawing more walks when they get to the majors? I thought the drawing walks was going to be part of the O's development but I guess I was wrong. There is no quick fix and the O's aren't going to spend $500 million on hitting when their main needs are pitching.
I feel like it's time to give up switch hitting. I think that for the majority of switch hitters, it's a negative, not a positive. For every Eddie Murray, there's 10 or probably 50 guys who hurt their careers (and they were not HOF careers to begin with).
