I don't know if it is intentional, but when people are really unhappy, their performance suffers.  Does the WS seem like a good place to be right now?

I think people were implying that a bad environment doesn't help produce good results, nothing more.

I cant believe most players play intentionally worse because of what team they are on.  I would think more that their morale is low on a horrible team and they lose a little drive and motivation so they play worse.  They all make money on their statistics.  So putting up numbers is usually the biggest drive.

I put forth effort at work regardless of conditions.

Anyone that has been in the workforce for any period of time has had a crap boss.

Maybe that's why they are drafting guys that are already polished defenders?  So they don't have to teach them.

Possible. 

It seems as if the Os as a whole are pretty lax in teaching fundamental D as a whole.   Hitting instruction is obviously great.  Defense?  Not so much.

He was 92% exit velocity on the season so it wasn’t like he wasn’t hitting it hard.
