I have the same feeling about Mayo's fielding.  We're going to end up with 8 DHs.

Just one more indication of MLB's disdain for its fans: not bothering to explain the basis for umpires' rulings. I saw the 1B umpire's motion, but if you were at the game and missed that you'd have no idea why the runner was ruled safe.

Yes, and it is to be hoped that his batting eye will be better, his average will go up, his throws will gain strength and accuracy.

But those things do need to happen.
