Yossarian
Some hard contact by LA in the first. Not starting out well.
Emory Eagle
Well, still 0-0 somehow.
CynBeth
At least there was not a HR and no runs scored so it was a pretty good inning.
WillyM
Kind of a laborious first inning for Povich, but he got them out with no runs scored.
LookitsPuck
O/U number of innings before the O’s get their first hit: 3 1/
Emory Eagle
On the one hand, he threw a lot of pitches which could mean a short start. On the other hand, is it really a bad thing if Povich ends up pitching less innings?
tntoriole
Povich, like a lot of pitchers, throws so many waste pitches. Pitches out of the hand that are so clearly a ball that nobody could swing even if they wanted to. The art of pitching is missing close
OriolesMagic83
10 minutes ago, Yossarian said: Of course he did - he has a 7.5 ERA. I would expect 7 innings, 3 hits, 12 Ks and 0 runs for him tonight Gee, I hope the O's don't face a pitcher w a 10 ERA, he might throw a no hitter. Yeah the O's tried that with Davis when he was slumping (for 2 years) didn't work well.
Emory Eagle
I wish the Os underperforming starting pitchers threw 96+ like Buehler and Miller.
LGOrioles
Another hitless inning. Fun.
Wavetrapper
Damn. Yet another Hall of Fame Cy Younger. How do we draw these guys all the time?
Sports Guy
xBA in the inning: 350, 410, 690 0-
SteveA
Miller was 11-4 with a 3.76 ERA last year as a rookie, he was a first round draft pick who came up and immediately lived up to his potential. This year has been ruined by a shoulder injury so far, but everyone talking about him like he's some bum off the street is kind of ridiculous. He was LA's #2 starter going into this season.
