When it looks like the O's aren't trying, it shows in their lack of hitting and not scoring runs. Their pitching is OK.

What’s frustrating is we all know it’s a marathon and a few games don’t matter.  The issue is the Os have been mediocre for 2 months going on 3.  That is information and data, not opinion.  

The team talent development approach has been to trade ML ready assets like Norby, Stowers for limited return and hold onto high upside but green assets like Mayo, Holliday etc.  A strategy that we all seemed to get behind. 

What hasn’t worked is the core young players Adley, Gunnar, Mountcastle, Westburg, Cowser, Urias are inconsistent at best, lost at worst or injured and the “Vets” who have never won - O'Hearn, Santander, Mullins, Jimenez are meh (other than a blazing stretch by Tony.)    

No team scouting the Os is concerned about pitching to them - the approach is avoid the HRs and make them chase.
