Gonzo is his best move. We've paid him 1.5M so far and he's been worth 7.2 WAR. That's incredible value.

Chen is 2nd best. We've paid him 3/11.3 and he's been worth 6.2 WAR. We're paying him about a third of what he's worth.

Steve Pearce is 3rd, despite almost losing him last year. We've paid him about 1.5M total to be a strong part time player and then one of the best hitters in baseball this past year.

Nelson Cruz is 4th. 8M for the league HR leader and a great leader in the clubhouse. Actually that should be mentioned with all 4 of these guys. Not only are they surprisingly good at baseball, they're good guys in the clubhouse.

Edit: I forgot about AJ's extension. That may be Dan's best move.

Dana Eveland.
He got star written all over him.
If there is a greatest hits poll might as well add a greatest misses one.
I just thought collecting them would be amusing.

I would vote Vlad but I am not convinced Dan wasn't acting under orders.

He was just ahead of the curve on Dana. We wish Brian Matusz had turned out as well.
