I think the answer to that is I don't see one player - no matter how good the player is - making that much of a difference.

It's how he said it. My guess is that we are going to make trades to improve the team, and then we'll look at signing FAs to fill the holes we have left.

Just read the article. While to me, words mean nothing after 10 years of broken promises, it is nice to see MacPhail be as candid as he's been. I just hope he has the juevos to pull off some moves and at the very least, make this team interesting to watch again.

This winter you can get much richer making intelligent trades than throwing money at Torii Hunter.
