Welp, looks like we signed OF Scott Beerer, from Colorado.

Was a pitcher, tore his labrum came back as an OFer in 2009. Decent numbers last year split between AA and AAA.

He worked with Brady Anderson in converting from pitcher to OF. Has only had 3 years as a fielder so he may still be developing.

29 years old, still learning to hit. Sounds like Adam Loewen.

A corner OF, has played 4 games in 3 years in CF, all the rest in right or left.

Pretty sure this is who they were talking about. He's a Brady Anderson product.

He's already bucked the odds by making it to AAA and achieving success. I think he's exceeded everyone's expectations in terms of handling the bat and hitting for average. He hasn't posted a K-rate over 15 at any level, which makes one think his chances of having some success in MLB are a bit better than Loewen's.

However, he'll be 30, he doesn't walk much at all, and his power numbers tailed off at AA/AAA. If he could replicate what he did last year AA with a .300 BABIP he'd be very serviceable, but the odds are against him.

Still, decent 6 year FA to try out in the spring and stash at AAA.
