They just think they got a cheaper version......

Well, they are similar size and they both throw a power sinker. Jim Johnson has a curveball and Webb has a slider, but honestly, they are pretty similar. Basically they look like they just got Jim Johnson prior to him becoming a closer and becoming over valued.

I loved Jim Johnson out of the bullpen, so to get a similar and cheaper version of him is good to me. Only thing I don't like is his WHIP, seems a little higher for a reliever than I'd like, but if he's pitching in the 6th or 7th inning then it's manageable.

But he is not as lovable.

Yeah what's new a cheap move. Only 3 more players till that 10m is spent.

That's all we can "afford"...our "market" and "revenue" can't support top tier free agent contracts. Nevermind the increase in shared TV revenue, MASN profits and profits from an increased fan base activity (attendance, etc)

This move helps...but does nothing to increase our standing compared to our competition.

No reason for this kind of post in this thread really. He looks like a solid add to the bullpen. If you plan to rag on every move that isn't worth $10 million a year or more from here on out you will get repetitive and borderline trolling.

Looking at the numbers i take back that post.
