Excellent strikes-to-balls ratio (61 Strikes, 27 Balls.)

He gave up a 3-run home run with 2 outs in the 5th inning to account for all of his runs allowed.

I wonder if his previous start, which was abbreviated due to a line drive off of his leg to start that game's 5th inning had anything to do with his ability to go 7 full innings tonight.

He is showing signs that he maybe able to help this team in the future this season. The walks were poor early on but the last month or so have been very good. 7IP and just 91 pitches. He has something like 1 walk in his last 6 starts. If you dont walk guys with our defense you have a decent shot to suceed.

Wow that's extremely good. I did not realize that. I liked his stuff when I saw him in ST and was a bit surprised by his struggles, but maybe he's figuring things out now. I don't think he's quite starter material, but could be a very good reliever.

I don't get why they just don't let this guy pitch out of the pen and maybe he could help us this year. He's obviously not going to do that as a starter. After tonight's start he's already at 75 IP this year. Last year he only threw 87.2 IP in the Korean league with a 4.00 ERA. The's O's have already tried Meek, Brach, Guilmet, and Stinson as the last righty in the pen. I've seen enough as a starter.

Agreed, and I think he will be called up pretty soon. He has very good K/BB numbers, and the O's have been struggling to fill out those 5-6-7 spots in the bullpen this year.
