Didn't he hit tonight's HR off of Johnson? Does that even count? Someone needs to check MLB's rules.

In all seriousness, I loved seeing a good batting eye and a smoked, opposite field hit from Davis today. If he does that more often, he should see more pitches to turn on these last couple of months.

Here are Davis' last 5 home runs.

1) A two run shot that breaks up a 1-1 tie, Orioles hold on to a 3-2 win.

2) Grand slam in a 7-5 win.

3) Three run home run off the bench in extras to win it

4) Two run blast in the 11th to break a 2-2 tie. Orioles go on to win 8-2

5) Two run home run to overcome a 1-0 deficit. Orioles win 3-1.

He's making them count.

Looking at his WPA, it's almost 1. That's far higher than a guy with an average of .200 should be. He's definitely making them count.

Chris Davis is obviously starting to heat up, he is back to hitting balls hard the other way. Davis will have a very nice second half. Book it!
