Time for these road warriors to win some games at home

The O's are now 32-23 on the road after their West Coast swing. Amazingly, they have not had a losing road trip this entire season!

The team struggled at home early in the year, but has played better the last few homestands (7-4 and 3-2 in the last two before the break). Let's make this a good one.

16-10 in their last 26 home games.

27-23 overall.

17-10 in their last 27 home games.

28-23 overall.

19-12 in their last 31 home games.

30-25 overall.

23-18 on the road.

16-17 at home.

Time to start giving the home fans something to cheer for! There's still time to have June turn out to be a great month. (12-8 so far).

More balanced for the Orioles, now.

HOME:O 34-26

ROAD:O 35-24

The Orioles have gone 18-9 at home since this thread was started.

Almost even now:

HOME:O 34-26

ROAD:O 36-26

And again, the Orioles have gone 18-9 at home since this thread was started.

Including last night, the Orioles are now in a stretch where they play 21 of 27 games at home. Up to now, our road record and home record are close to equal, but I'm glad to have nearly a month of home cooking while we try to add to our 6-game lead. I hope we do, because our final seven games are in NY and Toronto.

Buck alluded to looking forward to have a large homestand in the middle of a playoff race.

The Orioles actually have a slightly (ever so slightly) better home record now than they do on the road:

HOME:O 35-26 (.573770)

ROAD:O 39-29 (.573529)

The Orioles are 19-9 at home since Frobby started this thread.

Still, just a tad better at home than on the road.

HOME:O 37-27 (.578)

ROAD:O 39-29 (.573)

Good road/home balance speaks volumes to the quality of the roster constructed. Good lineup and rotation depth has been huge for the Orioles over 132 games...but we'll see how it fares in the SSS of the postseason.

24-10 since Frobby started the thread.

Way to rally the troops, Frobby. :laughlol:

OK, so the 60's was way off, but '79 is still pretty incredible:

This is first time the Orioles have gone 9-2 or better on a homestand since going 10-2 from June 22-July 1, 1979.
? Steve Melewski (@masnSteve) <a href="

As I stated in another thread:

POST # 347:

I haven't seen this type of dominance by the Orioles within the division since 1979, when they stomped their way to the title in the final 2 months of the season.

The 1983 and 1997 division champion teams were (for the most part) in a competitive race from the beginning until the end.

That was quite a homestand. (9-2)

Now time for these road warriors to keep it going on the road!

2-game winning streak on the road, Franklinarian.

Still, the Orioles have a better record at home than they do on the road:

o

HOME:O 43-28 (.606)

ROAD:O 41-31 (.569)

Who will win the title and the bragging rights at season's end ???

The Orioles home team, or the Orioles road team ???

What a battle !!!
