Dude do you even watch baseball....there are numerous examples of guys who have fine tuned their control. Not to mention in his last start KG was being squeezed by the ump in a big way IMO.

Randy Johnson was not an enigma lol....its not uncommon for guys to fine tune mechanic, delivery, and approach to gain better control. Your utter lack of knowledge for someone who touts themselves the way you do is incomprehensible.

Mussina was known to come up with a different pitch in the middle of a game, if something he was trying to throw wasn't working.

Apparently all this "messing" with Gausman hasnt had a negative effect on him at all. He's still a beast and shutting down opposing lineups for the most part. You have to assume a bump or two in the road along the way, but dang he's been good.

And he certainly should be able to fine tune his mechanics and have a little better control as he progresses throughout his career. To automatically assume otherwise is crazy talk.

Ive said many rediculous things in the game threads in hopes of reverse jinx but this is by far the most rediculous thing ever posted on these forums.

So youre saying everyone is born with a certain amount of fastball control and can never get better? So I guess my toddler has no hope.

If gausman was 29 years old id say his fb command wont be improving much. Dude is like 20 years old in his first real stint in the bigs and its not like his command his bad. In fact its probably one of the best in the rotation. He only needs fine tuning in that department. The real concern is what will be his 3rd pitch? If he could work out a good breaking ball then this guy will be a sure fire ace. He already has a put-away fastball and changeup.
