Speaking of fishy, what exactly are the parameters of putting someone on the DL? I mean do they have to prove that they are hurt?

I've wondered about this, too.

It seems like over the last few years too many of the O's have come up with "timely" injuries when the team wants to make a roster move without losing a player.

Actually he was down long enough to postpone the year of service time, so we still have him for 2020. He only needed a couple of days to prevent it.

In high school I stepped in a pothole when running and training for lacrosse and was out of commission for nearly 3 weeks with a sprained ankle and lost my starting spot. Damn pot holes.
