I apologize to everyone since this is beating a dead horse and way after the fact. But what was Jones doing in that at bat?? Getting down 0-2 is fine....swinging at that pitch once you are in that situation? I don't know. My mindset is getting a called third strike is way better than swinging at that pitch. But I am drunkenly typing this and not actually playing in the ALCS.

That is so clearly not the case, you have lost touch a bit with reality on this point I'm afraid. It's just the type of hitter he is, most MLB hitters can't/don't change their approach during their career.

Not true. Adam takes pride in not changing. He is defiant about it. Frank Robinson would have got the runner to third and that is why Jones is good but will never be a Hall of Famer.
