I think the Fan will do better on pregame and postgame, Here was the Oriole radio network. Not sure all the affiliates will go with them.

I don't think it will impact the affiliates. I received an email from the Orioles and it had all of last years listed.

Birdland is right about Westminster being an area where the Fan fades out, though like MurphDogg said 1470 has the games. The only issue would be if 1470 would carry a Ravens game instead, that doesn't happen much though of course. WBAL fades at night where I live near Westminster but while driving 105.7 is in and out no matter what time. At my house I can just turn the radio in a specific direction and it comes in crystal clear.

AM radio does remind me of my childhood as well but these deals are always about the money. One thing I remember from the past was that 105.7 was way behind the action due to a delay.

Great point and something I completely forgot. Damn. I won't be able to listen to home games in my backyard while eating dinner because the crowd noise will tip the action. I forgot how annoying that was. Old timers won't be able to listen to the radio at the game on their pocket radios due to the delay.

The Orioles have a Westminster affiliate though, 1470 AM WTTR.

I live in Manchester, north Carroll county and TTR has very limited reception there. But...was trying to listen to the Terps on Saturday on the The FAN and that was almost impossible. This sorta sucks.

You should be able to get 1280AM in Hanover, PA right? I know sometimes in other parts of Carroll County that station comes in better than WTTR.

Na....1280 comes in and out too. Especially at night. I have a teenage daughter and do a lot of picking up and dropping off of her and her friends right around the area. But, fortunately it will never be too long, just most likely when Manny hits the division winning walkoff HR or something like that.
