Dan has been a master of finding guys for AAA who can do a credible job in the majors if called upon, and creating a lot of competition.

Speaking of competition....just look at backup catcher. We have Arencibia, Lavarnway, Joseph and Clevenger all going after one spot. That's a good group of potential backup guys going against each other.

On a given day? All of them. More than half the time? None of them.

Throw Bundy and Gausman in that rotation and that would change dramatically.
