Well Archbishop Spalding lost 10-2. Here is a full summary Spalding vs St. John's.

My take is that everything that could have gone wrong for Spalding went wrong. There was a lineup controversy that slowed Spalding's momentum. They were playing to fast and making many mistakes. The Spalding team that showed up was definitly not the true Spalding team. Adams was getting all of the Cavalier hitters chasing his slider off of the plate. If Spalding was on their game they would have definitly give St. John's a tough game.

Pitching for Spalidng was what got them in trouble. Paul DeVito struggled to get ahead in the count and that cost him. The bases were loaded for most of the seconded inning. On a bunt play he slipped and fell, which caused for the bases to remain loaded. Unfortunately he was hit in the wrist and is now out for three weeks with a hairline fracture. Jason Patton relieved him and keep the heart of the Cadets lineup in check but the bottom half gave him a little bit of trouble.

For St. John's their star player, L.J. Hoes, is the real deal. He hit a line drive hit the top of the 365 sign in left center. Their Starting pitcher Adams had his slider working and had the hitters chasing all day. Overall they just made the routine plays and capitalized on Spalding's mistakes.
