No, it wasn't. That was good baserunning by Davis. Jones should have never stopped.

A ball bounces off of 2B for a hit and a ball hits the lip of the grass and bounces back to the catcher. It's been that kind of a game.

Davis and Trumbo drove in 6 of the 8 runs. Plus went 7 for 10. Adam with 3 BB. Brothers that's how you win.

At that point, the damage was done. Jones wasn't going to get to third. At the very least, we should end up with a baserunner at second. Doesn't really matter if it's Davis or Jones. Davis going back to first could have made it a double play.

The fact is that it was kinda just bad luck. The ball bounced right back to the catcher after looking like it had gotten away. I don't think it was the egregious error some here seem to think it was.
