Ironbirds and 1330 and 104-7 The Point

The Aberdeen IronBirds, Class A short-season affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, today announced a one-year agreement with WHGM 1330 AM & 104-7 FM The Point to become the flagship radio station for IronBirds baseball. IronBirds Daniel Kurish will return as lead broadcaster for his second consecutive season to provide live color commentary for all 76 home and away games. Game coverage will begin five minutes prior to the first pitch of each game.

"We are truly looking forward to our partnership with 1330 and 104-7 The Point,as this special opportunity allows for all of our exciting games to be heard by more fans, in more places," said Brad Cox, assistant general manager of the Aberdeen IronBirds. "We feel this partnership shows the IronBirds commitment to offering our listeners the best sports programming experience."

Through WHGM's 1330 & 104-7 The Point broadcasts, as well as on www.IronBirdsbaseball.com, all IronBirds games can be heard throughout the Tri-State area. Based out of Havre de Grace, Maryland, WHGM is an ?Adult Hits? radio station featuring unique local content, including news, weather, traffic, and event information.

"1330 & 104-7 The Point is delighted with our radio partnership with the IronBirds. We have had many calls from listeners across the Tri-State area asking us to carry the games. As Harford & Cecil Countys first and fastest growing radio station, we feel the local community will be able to connect with the team, whether at home or away," added station General Manager, Jeff Davis.

The IronBirds open their season on June 17 on the road against the Hudson Valley Renegades and the Staten Island Yankees. Opening Night at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium is set for Wednesday, June 22 at 7:05 p.m. against the Auburn Doubledays.
