Gallardo listed as Sunday's starter

Just looked at the Orioles schedule on MASN and Gallardo is listed as Sunday's starter instead of Ulbado. I would think that the MASN site wouldn't just make any assumptions without Buck knowing about it. Wright is listed as Saturday's starter which I would have expected to be TBD.

He threw 59 pitches in his start for Advanced-A Frederick on Thursday,

He is scheduled to throw up to 75 pitches for AAA-Norfolk tomorrow (Tuesday.)

That lines him up for a start on Sunday.

Thanks for the info.

Yea that makes perfect sense given he is set to pitch in a AAA game tomorrow afternoon.

I strongly doubt they'll make him have a 3rd rehab start..........let's just hope he doesn't get bombed I guess.

I don't care about the results of the game, his goal isn't to get AAA guys out it's to get ready to return to the majors.

Would be nice to see where his velocity sits.

Nothing they list now is a binding commitment anyway.

Buck has lower standards for his return.

Downright gross.

Sure, but there is no reason at all to (1) decide it, or (2) tell the public you have decided it, before seeing what happens tomorrow.

Unless you are looking to tell one of three pitchers that they are out.

Unless you are looking to tell one of three pitchers that they are out.

Then you wait until after tomorrow's start to tell him. Not to mention Wright's start tonight. What if Wright gets bombed and Ubaldo has a good game -- are you keeping Wright in the rotation instead of Ubaldo once Gallardo is available?

The only logic I could see is (1) Wright pitches tonight and on Saturday, (2) Wright goes to the minors after Saturday's game, (3) Gallardo pitches Sunday, (3) Ubaldo pitches tomorrow and next Tuesday. That's a far more likely scenario.
