Wells' composite line for July: 31 IP, 13 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 26 K's.    Hitters had a .286 OPS against him for the month.     He threw 13.2 pitches per inning.

Didn't allow a walk or run in the month. That's absolutely unbelievable from a guy who throws 88 or so. That's "pitching" at its finest. Ted Wells Lilly is going to be particularly interesting to watch when he moves up.

Actually, Wells (20) is a year older than Davies was at Delmarva (19). But I think your comparison is apt.

Was also walking about 4 times as many guys, with an identical strikeout rate to Wells. Wells' BB/9 is absurd.

Well...the scoreless streak is over as he gave up 5 R (4 earned) in 5 IP tonight. Gave up 7 hits, including two homers, with 5 K's. No walks though again, which is amazing.

All the earned runs came in the first inning.    It looks like he pitched decently after that.
