Actually the good news is he will be cheapnext year. Unfortunately without him, our staff ERA will be 5+

I rather he be healthy, pitch well, and hit him with a QO.

I don't think Tillman is one of those guys you want to give a big contract to. (so few are)

I think the Orioles should have been more proactive on a deal 2 years back off a down year. He's not great but our staff stinks and SP is so pricey.

Good Point on QO.

Even less so now with the shoulder issues.

The Gallardo trade doesn't look the best now.

It's not like Dan knew Tillman was hurt.

Oh wait...

Actually I'm still fine with the Gallardo deal.  Smith is a useful piece and I don't think Gallardo will significantly outperform whatever warm body replaces Tillman.

What's the prognosis on a shoulder injury?

A couple months? Out for the year? Does it depend on the severity?

Will rest work or will he most likely need surgery?

Too early to know.  They said the antibiotic  had the side effect of making joints ache.   Give him a few days to see whether that wears off.

I thought I read some where that he should resume throwing on Weds.
